About Bai Shi Hot Pot

Located at 2929 Hannah Blvd, East Lansing, MI 48823, Bai Shi Hot Pot operates as a hot pot serving East Lansing in Michigan. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in East Lansing; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Michigan are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

Hours have not been published for this listing yet. Most businesses of this type in East Lansing keep standard business hours, but call ahead to be sure, especially on weekends and holidays. The listed phone number is (517) 944-3500. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

Its Google rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 38 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

East Lansing is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Getting around East Lansing is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Michigan's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

First Sichuan hot pot experience! It was amazing! This place would be great for a group of friends wanting to socialize and try new things together. They even have vegan food and broths. So there is something for everyone! We tried 2 broths (full house spicey and tonkotsu). Full house spicey is a good medium heat!!!! Would strongly recommend it!!!

Very delicious. We had the half and half pot. The spicy broth has great flavor. The signature broth was good as well. The only complaint is that it's pricey. I've had hot pot that was just as good for much less. My wife and I spent 76 dollars before tip and we only had water to drink.

After coming here after a recommendation, I now crave hotpot every week. Fresh foods, fun experience, quick service, lots of options! Best of all is their broth, best I've ever had.

They were helpful about gluten-free options and said that the mushroom, tomato, and tongatsu broths are all gluten-free, and possibly the spicy pepper broth too. The price can rack up if you want a large variety of items or want a lot of meat, but it’s super fun and basically the only place for a hundred miles that serves food in this fashion.

Wow. Rate 4.5/5. Food 4.5/5 Flavor 6+/5 Service 4/5 Environment 3.5/5 Additional bonus point for KEPPING THE TRANDTION OF THE GREAT SICHUAN STYLE HOT POT AND BRING IT TO MICHIGAN AS ITS MOST ORIGINAL FORM (Even with the contrast between food flavor and enivorment, lol) It does get better and better. The taste of broth is just like the one I tasted and always dreamt about back in Szechuan, China. The beef tallow base is so rich and chilly, it makes every bite feels like a dip in the chilly butter volcano. Highly recommend beef tripe and beef vessel, those two are must-order food in transitional hot pot. Beside the spicy broth, the pork Broth is great too, it goes best with cabbage and radish. It would be one of the best hot pot restaurant in United States if they can upgrade their interior decoration and perfect their service and open longer than just five hours a day.
